Part 9 (Accounts and Audit) of the Companies Ordinance Cap 622 contains the accounting and auditing requirements, namely provisions on keeping of accounting records, the preparation and circulation of annual audited financial statements, directors’ and auditors’ reports and the appointment and rights of auditors. New provisions are also introduced to facilitate SMEs to take advantage of simplified accounting and reporting.
